About the Show
Gerardo Ortiz is young, charismatic and the latest sensation in Regional Mexican music. Know for his progressive style of corridos, Gerardo doesn't shy away from the often-aggressive lyrics of this style of music, and his fans love him the more for it. Born in Pasadena, California, he moved to Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico at the age of 5 years old, and recorded his first album at the tender age of 8. Several more albums followed, and he even joined a young corrido band called Antrax. At age 20, he returned to the U.S., and launched his solo career. With hit singles like "En Preparación," "El Trokero Lokochón," "A La Moda," and "La Última Sombra," he is now releasing his much awaited new production titled "Entre Dios y el Diablo," which includes the first single "Aquiles Afirmo." ¡Corrido fans, this one is for you!
