About the Show
They call him "the people's idol" and Gerardo Ortiz has certainly earned that distinction. Fans love this young and charismatic singer-songwriter, who is the latest sensation in Regional Mexican music. With modern and innovative corridos, his star power has been rising nonstop. Gerardo was born in Pasadena, California, but moved with his parents to Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico at the age of 5. His previous album, "Entre Dios y el Diablo," was such a hit that he received several nominations to important awards like Premio Lo Nuestro and the Latin Billboard Awards.
His latest album is called "El Primer Ministro" and the single is "Vine a Despedirme." There is no doubt that Gerardo will continue making headlines and earning accolades!

"We recorded this album in a studio I have in my house, and it was great because we paid so much more attention to every detail, we could record until late, at night… It was much easier…"

"The fist singles is called 'Vine a Despedirme.' It's a song about a broken heart, like a movie. It's about a guy that says goodbye to his girl without her knowing…"
