About the Show
Known as "The Banda Diva" ("La Diva de la Banda"), Jenni Rivera has earned a top position in Regional Mexican music, a genre typically dominated by men. Her strong and open spirit towards life and her career have endeared her to both female and male fans. While other women in Regional Mexican music still struggle to top the music charts, Jenni's songs are topping the charts alongside all the men. Her latest album "Joyas Prestadas" is a compilation of classic songs previously made famous by other Latin super star artists like Marisela, Ednita Nazario, Isabel Pantoja, Olga Tañón, Rocío Dúrcal, Yuri, Lupita D’alessio, Valeria Lynch, Lucha Villa, Rocío Jurado and Dulce. The first single is "Basta Ya," a song penned by the great Marco Antonio Solís and made famous by Olga Tañón. This album is truly full of musical jewels that everyone should own!

Jenni Rivera sang some of the hits from this album during a live performance for some lucky fans in Los Angeles, and Acceso Total brings it to you! Enjoy!

Name of the album:
"'Joyas Prestadas' is the name of my new album. It basically means 'borrowed jewels,' because that's how I think of the songs on the album. These are covers that were made famous by huge female artists…"

The first single:
"'Basta Ya' is the first single… It’s a song written by Marco Antonio Solís… I love him… and as important of a musical icon as he is, he was humble enough to do harmonies on this song. That's beautiful..."

Taking control:
"I'm involved with everything creative on my albums, from the song selection, to the song ideas, to the instrumentation, to the title of the album. I've always been a hidden producer, because nobody knows their fans better than the artist..."

Musical influences:
"There have been a lot of female voices that have been a major influence in my love for music and as a recording artist. The female artists I listened to the most were Rocío Dúrcal, Lupita D’alessio, Rocío Jurado, Isabel Pantoja, Marisela; all voices that had a great impact on me..."

Her personality:
"I am a fighter, I'm a warrior, a winner; I love to win. I got things from my mother and my father that turned me into the woman I am today… Not only did my voice come from them, because they both sing, but their temperament turned me into a strong woman..."

The fans:
"My fans made Jenni Rivera, so when I think that this wasn't even supposed to happen, that this isn't what I wanted to do, but I'm doing it now, I'm feel very fortunate…"

The Set List
A Que No Le Cuentas
A strong song about a woman who challenges her man to come clean about their secrete relationship. "I bet you won't tell her that when you're quiet is because you're thinking of me. I bet you won't tell her that you get sad when you have to leave my side…"

A Cambio De Que
A strong, sexy song about a woman that tells her man she'll stay only if he loves her the way she deserves, and if he'll be there for her for the long run.

Resulta
And the women-power continues with this song about a guy who leaves his girl for a younger lover. "So now it turns out that you wasted your time with me, that now you realize you weren't happy, that you weren't in love and you think it's best that you leave… You and your lover can just go…"

Lo Siento Mi Amor
The roles reverse in this song, and she ends the relationship because she's in love with another man. She tells him it's been a while since he makes her feel anything when they make love, and she's sorry to have to tell him, but there's someone else in her life.

Que Ganas de No Verte Nunca Más
Oh, the tragedy of being in a new relationship, and unable to forget an old love who did you wrong. "I wish I didn't see you ever gain, I wish I didn't see you ever gain, I wish I could close this chapter in my life where you were nothing but a lie…"

Detrás de Mi Ventana
This is the song for those relationships that aren't going anywhere, because the guy takes you for granted. "I'm tired of saying I love you and see that you're asleep, of making you a special dinner and see that you're gone, of being only a housewife…"

Basta Ya
The first single off the album, this song was written by Marco Antonio Solís, and it's tells the tale of a woman that is tired of loving a man that doesn't love her back the way she deserves, and finally says enough!
