About the Show
Jerry Rivera has music in his blood, and it shows! Both his parents are musicians, and from day one they supported his desire to pursue a music career. And from his first solo album, "Abriendo Puertas" in 1988 at the tender age of 14, Jerry had tremendous success. That first album produced No. 1 hits like "Esa Niña," "Dime" and "Como un Milagro," topping the U.S. Latin charts, as well as those in Puerto Rico and the rest of Latin America. Hits like "Ese," from his sophomore album "De Otra Manera," followed. Now with a long and successful career under his belt, Jerry is back with a new album titled "El Amor Existe" and the new single "Sólo Pienso en Ti." "They're all ballads, except 'El Amor Existe'…which is more rumba. All the songs have swing, so it's like listening to ballads but you can dance to them…"

"'Sólo Pienso en Ti' is the first single. When I was a boy…everyone in my house, in my neighborhood knew that song. It was a really big hit in Puerto Rico and Latin America… This song is very romantic…"

"We filmed the video for 'Sólo Pienso en Ti' here in Miami. Mari Bustamante was the model… I think we worked well together…she's very beautiful, and I was very excited to do the video with her."
His biggest influences:
"Lalo Rodríguez and Frankie Ruiz are the most influential artists in my genre, and have also influenced me personally. Frankie had a very charming, sweet voice, but had a lot of rhythm. Back in the 1980s, Frankie and Lalo were very different from anyone else…"

"I'd like you to listen to my new album 'El Amor Existe'…. I included a lot of songs that I love from my music idols, and I wrote the song 'El Amor Existe' especially for you."
