On Inspiration:
Joy: "There's always been music in the house. Our parents loved music. We never listened to radio when we were growing up. We grew up listening to Johnny Cash, The Carpenters.."
Jesse: "Creedence, Simon & Garfunkel!"

On Making Electricity:
Joy: "We wrote it with less time. When we were writing 'Esta Es Mi Vida,' we were not looking for a record deal; we were not looking for our songs to be on the radio.
Jesse: "Sonically speaking, we tried and experimented with textures and soundscapes. We worked with Tom Russo. He's worked with artists like Michael Jackson and Johnny Cash. We grew up listening to Johnny Cash so it was very ironic for us.."

On Touring:
Jesse: "We're definitely touring - not only all the U.S - we're also doing Spain, Central, South America, and also Mexico."

On Taking Home A Grammy:
Joy: "We got a call saying, 'You have two nominations, and you're also performing!' So, we're like, that's the best thing they could have said. Because once we got up and were playing.. that was the best. It was what we needed, not to be nervous. We were amazed!"

The Set List
Adios
The first single from 'Electricidad' is a song about difficult love. Explains Joy: "It's a sad song. It talks about a love that makes you happy, makes you want more but you can’t have. You realize that the best thing is to say 'Adios,' which is 'Goodbye.'" Adds Jesse: "Even though it's the thing that’s going to hurt the most."

Espacio Sideral
‘Espacio Sideral’ is the smash-hit debut single from Jesse & Joy’s critically-acclaimed first album, ‘Esta Es Mi Vida.’ Today, the pair delivers an acoustic version of a tune that talks about love with super powers. Sings Joy: “I would like to be a superhero.. and protect you from the bad.”

10 Mil Vidas
Never has Joy’s voice sounded so exquisite than in ’10 Thousand Lives,’ a brand new track from the new album, ‘Electricidad.’ As Jesse harmonizes in the background, Joy delivers a bittersweet ballad about unreachable love: “This simple life is short.. and I can’t reach. ‘Cause to love you.. I need 10 thousand lives.”

Si Te Vas
If Jesse & Joy are well known for writing songs with unmistakable hooks, ‘If You Leave’ is sure to please the pair’s devoted fans. A piece of perfectly-crafted pop, ‘If You Leave’ speaks about finding perfect love with an imperfect being. Sings Joy: “If you’re not here… my soul will miss your imperfect personality.”

Electricidad
The title track from the new album shows an experimental side to the pair’s musical evolution. ‘Electricity’ is a spine-tingling tune about love, land, and destiny. Concluding their affecting set, Joy sings: “It was destiny that brought you, lit you up, and led me to this place.”
