About the Show
Voz de Mando is, without a doubt, one of the most original and successful bands to emerge from the world of norteña-music in the last several years. Proud sons of Sinaloa, Mexico, Voz de Mando, however, was conceived and cemented as a group in Los Angeles, California, in 2009, where they set their sights at fusing the authentic ranchera norteña sound with the tuba instrument, so typical of Sinaloa. The result was explosive songs with great energy and bravía. In addition to this effervescent style, Voz de Mando has also shown incredible musical flexibility, with ballads that surprise us with their sincere lyrics and heart-felt melodies.
Voz de Mando’s success is the result of pure hard work—the band released its first two albums independently. Here at Acceso Total, we are proud to present to you this exclusive interview and live concert with the guys from Voz de Mando. Let it speak for itself: amazing! Don’t miss it! And don’t forget to pick up your copy of “Y Ahora Resulta” at www.Walmart.com or at any of our stores nationwide!

Y ahora resulta: the new album
“It is also the title of the main song in the album. We decided to name the album after the main single because people have loved the song so much and we have a lot of faith in it. We really wanted people to focus on that song first.”
The new single
“It’s also called Y Ahora Resulta. It is a song about a young man who loves his girlfriend very much and does very good by her. He even agrees to pay for a few little fixes (plastic surgery) in order to please her. The girl, once she is already done-up and transformed, tells the guy to go take a hike. Because now she feels that she is better than him. He then gets very, very mad… angry, and tells her some strong words. We have heard from some people that this is a song against women but that is just not true. Not all women are like this. Just this one woman, who betrayed this one man.”
The album’s style
“In general, this album has some of the flavor from our previous records: pleasant. Very well-conceived and produced, in our opinion, and we hope people feel the same way about it. It’s music with all that good vibe from our previous work that has made us known…”
Eres mi cenicienta: the bonus-track
“It’s a very sweet and romantic song that we decided to record with only piano and accordion. It’s dedicated to all those who are in love or may want to tell somebody else that they love them. It’s for that other one who is so special…”
A message to the fans
“We will like to thank all of the people who are watching us right now… They probably have bought our album already: thank you. We made this album with a lot of love and we sure hope you like it.”

The Set List
Mente en Blanco
Together with the warm notes of an accordion, this song talks about pain, betrayal and, for sure, revenge: “My blood burns. It hurts so much, what you did to me. You will pay for betraying me. From death you will not escape…” All said.
De Corazón Ranchera
A song in the best tradition of the Mexican ranchera: a proud man speaks of his town, the soil that bares the harvest, the ups and downs of life… The message is clear: “Men like me you don’t find often.”
Versos de Mi Alma
Things slow down a little bit with this sweet ballad: “We are upset at each other, suffering for no reason. Although, truth be told, you looked very pretty when you were angry. I am so sorry.” Someone mess up really bad and that someone knows it. It’s a perfect song to reconcile and dance slow together.
Muchacho de Campo
A young man tries to make a girl fall in love with him through sweet and true words that tell of a simple life, yet a humble and dignified one. The strong accordion gives way to the softer notes of a guitar, like saying: “look at me, I’m worth it.”
Eres mi Cenicienta
The bonus-track of the album, this song is the most simple yet probably the most beautiful song on this record: only Jorge’s voice accompanied by a slow piano and muted accordion. This song is the true definition of what a love-ballad should be. “You accept me the way I am, and for that I thank you… You are the love of my life.” What else can you ask for?
Y Ahora Resulta
This is one of the most original songs we have come across in a long time: a man loves his girlfriend so much that he agrees to pay for all of her “improvements,” that is, a bunch of plastic surgery, only to be later dumped when she later believes that she has become too good to be with him. Poor guy. The fury is understandable and quite a lot.
