About the Show
Voz de Mando is a young group that was born in Los Angeles in 2009. But all the band members – Jorge Gaxiola, Miguel Gaxiola, Carlos "Charlie" Sígala, Domingo Bolaños and Fernando Rodríguez – are originally from Culiacán Sinaloa, Tecate, Baja California, Morelia, Michoacán and Cuernavaca, Morelos. Having already recorded three very successful albums, Voz de Mando is releasing their fourth production titled "De Corazón Ranchero," in which they record banda for the first time. In fact, the first single "Versos de Mi Alma" comes in norteño and banda versions. With this new production, Voz de Mando will continue to win the hearts of all those Mexican music lovers out there!

The band's name:
"We had several names in mind. We wanted something different…that wasn't trite. And since 'voz de mando' means something like strength, the guy who always has the last word in the movies, we decided to call the band Voz de Mando."
The new album:
"We had previously released four corrido albums…one after the other… In this fourth production, we thought it was time to give people something different… We wanted people to hear something fresh from Voz de Mando…"
Their musical style:
"In some parts of Mexico they call this style norteño-banda, because it includes the tuba. I think this genre is too broad… To me, it's just a more cheerful style of norteño…"
The video:
"We did do a video for 'Versos de Mi Alma,' and it's very much in the Voz de Mando style, which is very simple, because we don't like to get too gaudy."

"We recorded this production with all our heart. 'De Corazón Ranchero' is dedicated to all the fans that love music. This is for you, and we hope you like it…"
