Soundcheck is an original performance series created by the Wal-Mart Music team, giving you the opportunity to go behind the scenes and get an in-studio look at some of your favorite artists. Soundcheck plays right here on Walmart.com, or, for the full high definition experience, visit any Walmart store and head to the Electronics department to watch it on the Walmart TV Network.
We'll be adding new performances on a regular basis throughout the year, so please check back regularly at Walmart.com/soundcheck for more information.
We'll have artists from all genres; some old, some new, some huge, some more emerging - but all will be presented in the same intimate studio environment. So be on the lookout!

Once the performances launch, you can play it anytime you want, 24 hours a day. We'll keep all artists up on the site under "The Performances" tab.

The Set List
We never wrote any music thinking it would play on radio or even that a lot of people would hear it. We just got in a room and wrote songs that we enjoyed playing. All of us have been completely floored and blown away to see that it (single ‘It’s Time’) went platinum.

On Naming the Album:
“We are pretty meticulous dudes. We came up with a couple different titles, but Night Visions matched the overall theme of the album. A lot of it was written in the hours of the late night—between midnight and 5am. A lot of songs I’ve written have been about dreams or nightmares I’ve had.”
On Early Hotel Gigs:
“In the beginning of the band in order to make ends meet, we went to the hotels and begged them to let us play some of our music. We learned 50 covers and little did we know they expected us to play a 6-hour set. By the end of one set, I was so tired I ended up passing out in the middle of a song. The guys finished the song and I came to at the very end. We got a standing ovation at 4am in Las Vegas.”
On Songwriting:
“A lot of the songwriting we do, we always start a song with melody over chord structure. If a song can’t stand alone with just a guitar, it’s not a good enough song. If you have to dress something up in too much production to make it good, you probably need to rework it.”
On Music Videos:
We’re very involved with the video work for the songs—it’s important to put music to visuals. Every time we write something I think we see visuals with it.”
On Inspiration:
“We all grew up listening to rock music from the 60’s and 70’s. We all love The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Boston. That’s what all four of us have in common, and from there it diversifies a little bit.”
• Imagine Dragons' name is an anagram—the original words are unknown except to the band.
• 'Night Visions' is their first full-length album and holds the record for the longest run on the 2012 Alternative Top 10 charts.
• The huge 36 x 18 drum used in the ‘Radioactive’ recording and music video is now a part of their live show.

“This song lent itself to an edgy rock, electronic, dub-step vibe. Radioactive is a bit of a primal song; it has an empowerment to it about an awakening of sorts.”

80’s influenced and dramatic electronic swells may remind someone of an earlier era.
It's Time
Heavy with influence from producer Alex da Kid, ‘It’s Time’ is a platinum-selling single with mandolin influences and catchy crescendos featured in the movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Demons
Memorable and melodic, ‘Demons’ is an anthem of dedication and vulnerability with lyrics that expose, “When you feel my heat/ Look into my eyes/ It’s where demons hide.”
On Top of the World

Amsterdam

This catchy love/rock ballad declares, “I’ve said it before, I won’t say it again/ Love is a game to you/ Let’s not pretend.”

Acoustic guitar riffs and electric guitar solos dominate in this timeless ballad.
Bleeding Out
An energetic, uplifting track—this one is sure to make you scream from the tallest mountain with lyrics that soar and swell throughout.
