About The Artist

The Set List

Here she goes again. Demi Lovato returns with her second pop/rock affair, ‘Here We Go Again,’ and Soundcheck has your exclusive backstage pass. Music bloggers are already hinting that Demi’s latest disc plays with harder sounds than her teenage peers, but we think it reflects a new musical growth for the singer. Check out our interview and performance with the 16 year-old artist - and go pick up a copy of her rockin’ new disc, ‘Here We Go Again’ online and in Walmart stores nationwide. -The Crew at Walmart Soundcheck On Growing Up: “I definitely think that this album is more of me. I got to write most of the album and put a lot of myself into it. I’ve changed a lot over the last year. It’s definitely a more mature version of my music.” On Inspiration: “Kelly Clarkson is a huge influence to me. She’s incredible. Christina Aguilera is an amazing vocalist. John Mayer is a really great musician. I’ve been a fan of all three of them for awhile. Also Paramore. They’re great!” On Music Vs. Acting: “I definitely think I am enjoying music more. Music is where I go to at the end of the day. If I’m having a really hard time, I’m not going to break into a monologue and start acting in my room. I’m going to write a song! It’s my therapy. That’s where I turn to; that’s what I’ve been more passionate about over the years.” On Advice To Young Girls: “My one piece of advice that I want to give young girls is: Never listen to what other people have to say. Always feel confident. Always feel beautiful.”

• She’s a Leo! Demetria Devonne Lovato was born August 20, 1992 in Dallas, Texas. • She’s a popular actress who considers music her true passion. Demi has starred in a number of television and movie projects, including the Disney Channel Original Movie, ‘Camp Rock.’ • She wears many musical hats! Not only is Demi a talented singer/songwriter, she’s an accomplished musician. Demi also plays drums, piano, and the guitar. • Her older sister is also in the biz. Dallas Lovato recently appeared on the Disney Channel television series, ‘Sonny With A Chance.’ Demi also has a younger half-sister, Madison. • She’s a YouTube sensation! Demi hosts a YouTube show with her friend Selena Gomez. The pair frequently upload vlogs to the popular site. • ‘Here We Go Again’ is her second record. Demi released her well-received debut disc, ‘Don’t Forget’ in 2008. Pick up a copy of her latest album online and in Walmart stores nationwide!
Don’t Forget It’s on songs like ‘Don’t Forget’ that Demi’s vocals soar. Beginning slowly and building to a crescendo, Demi performs her most critically-acclaimed tune to date. ‘Don’t Forget’ is testament to the fact that sometimes the most understated words make the most powerful statement: “Our love is like a song. You can’t forget it.” Get Back “Don’t walk away like you always do,” cautions Demi on this delicious and danceable track from her debut disc, ‘Don’t Forget.’ Wearing black leggings and a green t-shirt under a black vest, Demi struts the stage like a seasoned performer – and an angry girlfriend. ‘Get Back’ is classic, catchy Lovato rock. Here We Go Again Completing her set with the title track from her brand new disc, Demi delivers a homerun. ‘Here We Go Again’ sounds like it was cooked up exclusively for the singer; it’s young, playful, and another girl power statement: “I tell everyone we are through. ‘Cause I’m so much better without you.” La La Land Demi kicks off her set with a song from her debut album, ‘Don’t Forget.’ Co-written with the Jonas brothers, ‘La La Land’ is a gutsy girl power anthem about staying true to yourself. It’s a message echoed recently in Kelly Clarkson’s song, ‘I Do Not Hook Up.’ Sings Demi: “Who said I can’t be single and have to go out and mingle? Baby, that’s not me.” Remember December It’s time for a trip back to the eighties with this rock-tinged track, one of the singer’s album favorites. We asked Demi to explain the track and discovered a personal connection. Explains the singer: “[It’s about] reminiscing on times where we weren’t fighting. Asking the person not to surrender to his friends.” Solo Clever and contagious, ‘Solo’ is another new track from Demi’s latest disc, ‘Here We Go Again,’ and it’s a surefire contender for second single. Explains Demi: “It’s kind of a play on words. It’s when a guy does something so low. It makes you want to go solo!”
