About The Artist

The Set List

The record to me has this sort of other-worldly sound. I wanted to experiment with solar system stuff. Like a space rock album!

Though Korn’s 1998 breakout record was titled ‘Follow The Leader,’ the Bakersfield quartet has always trailed their own musical path. The band’s tenth studio album, ‘The Path Of Totality,’ continues their edgy evolution – and takes metal inside the club. Dark, mysterious, and set to future beats, it’s Korn reinvented. Check out our set with Korn - and go pick up a copy of ‘The Path Of Totality’ online and in Walmart stores nationwide.

On Changing Their Sound:
“It’s for the greater good of the band. That’s why we did this. We wanted to push the boundaries and really open people’s minds. You need fresh ideas to do that.”

On Their Musical Evolution:
"It feels like a new experience altogether. We’re building on what we’ve already built. There’s that Korn foundation there but [we're] also opening people up to a new sound that we’ve created.”

On Metal Fans Vs Dance Fans:
"I think it’s really cool. By the end of the song [the fans] are into it. They see the passion that we have about it. They hear the power.”

On Keeping It Fresh:
“I don’t necessarily think that this is our new sound. There are so many techniques that we are gonna definitely use on the next album. I think we’re going to push ourselves even further.”

On Korn 2012:
“Back in ’94, it was all about partying and having fun and making music. Now we've all got families and it’s different. We’ve all matured as musicians. We’re more about the music than we’ve ever been.”

Did You Know?

• They’re from Bakersfield, CA. The quartet, fronted by vocalist Jonathan Davis, formed in 1994 and released their self-titled debut. Their 1998 album, 'Follow The Leader,' earned the band worldwide acclaim and two Grammy Awards.

• Their music is known as alternative metal or "nu metal." Korn has electrified their listeners by constantly changing musical paths. Explains Davis: “I want to trail-blaze. I want to change things. I want to do things we’re not supposed to do.”

• They’ve sold 35 million albums worldwide and won two Grammy Awards. The band picked up Best Short Form Video for ‘Freak On A Leash’ (from ‘Follow The Leader’) and Best Metal Performance for ‘Here To Stay’ from their 2002 record, ‘Untouchables.’

• Their new album is called ‘The Path Of Totality.' Producers on the record include: Skrillex, Noisia, Excision and Kill The Noise.

• ‘The Path Of Totality’ is in stores now! Pick up a copy of the record online and in Walmart stores nationwide.
Chaos Lives In Everything
The opening track on ‘The Path Of Totality’ packs dubstep and metal into a tune that Davis has said is all about his “inner demons.” Sings the Korn frontman: “Get away from you / Is what I gotta do / I want my soul back / I’ll stand my ground.”

Narcissistic Cannibal
The second single from ‘The Path Of Totality’ is a monster animal that features Skrillex and Kill The Noise. It’s also one of the band’s catchiest tunes to date. Sings Jonathan: “Holding on / I’m lost in a haze / Fighting life to the end of my days.”

Get Up!
This track became an instant classic when the band premiered it at last year’s Coachella festival. The tune has since sold more than 200,000 digital downloads. Sings Jonathan: “Times are looking grim these days / Holding on to everything / It’s hard to draw the line.”

Way Too Far
Korn have referenced ‘The Path Of Totality’ as their “space age” album, and ‘Way Too Far’ launches the band into distant planets. Trippy, transcendental and reminiscent of classic Korn records, ‘Way Too Far’ tells a tale about ego and excess. Sings Jonathan: “Sometimes I take things / Way too far / Irrational feeling / I just try too hard.”

Falling Away From Me
Longtime Korn fans will remember this track: ‘Falling Away From Me,’ from the band’s 1999 album, ‘Issues.’ It’s also one of the band’s most prolific messages; the song was written by Jonathan Davis about domestic abuse. Sings Davis: “Fears in me / They won’t go away / So I pray / Go away.”
