About the Show
"We want people to take away that it's a feel good album. Overall, it's a jammin' album and something you can put in your car or iPod to get away from life. "
Country duo, Florida Georgia Line, get real on Risers and discuss the hard work behind their music, a passion for blending influences and the release of their first album. Watch the interview and pick up 'Here's to the Good Times' online and in Walmart stores nationwide! -The Crew at Walmart Risers
On Originality
"I don't think we’ve ever felt pressure to write a hit. We just do what we love; we take our influences from hip hop, rock, Christian and make it into our own brand of country."
On How it Began
"We were about to graduate college and didn't know what we were going to do, we just knew we were both passionate about music. We had no idea what we were doing or how to go about it. Took a little while and was a struggle but it started taking off."
On Influences
"Growing up where we grew up, you find a lot of people that are really into different kinds of music like country and rap. Most people don't think they go together but they've been going together for years. "
On Early Years
"The first couple years outta college were tough. That’s where great songs come from so we're thankful we've been through it all."
On Fans
"It's great to hear the crowd singing every word back to us. As a songwriter, that's the best feeling in the world."
