About the Show
• They’re a husband and wife band. Thompson Square is Tennessee couple Keifer and Shawna.
• They came to Nashville to pursue solo careers – and found each other. Says Shawna: Says Keifer: “A year and a half ago we were bartending and doing every job known to mankind to try and make ends meet. It’s a dream come true.”
• They’ve been married 12 years. Says Keifer: “Our marriage is the most important thing. How do we do music and be together all the time? She and I actually like to be together all the time!”
• Their self-titled debut record features many of their own songs. Says Keifer: “It was very important for me to have some original songs I wrote. But we weren’t stupid. If there was a better song, we put it on there.”
• Their new single is called ‘I Got You.’ Explains Shawna: “This song is the first song that we’ve had fan reactions at concert – singing it back to us. There’s no other feeling in the world like that!
