On His New Album:
“I don't feel like my music has to relate to anybody in particular, I think it needs to relate to me. Then you hope you hit the people who feel it the most. It has to be from the heart and if it’s not then I don’t think you should be doing it.”
On His Country Influence:
“I grew up in a gas station and my dad was a mechanic; he worked nonstop. I learned a lot in that gas station and country was on the radio in that garage. It’s just where I ended up I guess; it’s something that makes me feel good.”
On Writing With Friends:
“I didn’t write with anybody I didn’t like. In fact, it was just a few guys who I know and love. They are a lot like me. Everyone was on the same page which made it that much more special.”
On Fans:
“Lately I’ve been playing the new record and the reaction from our fans has been nothing less than awesome. People just dig it. It’s something different and the reaction has been great.”
On His Producer:
“Keith Segal friend produced the album, we’ve been friends for years and so it made sense to bring him on board—I didn't know anybody who knew as much as he did. It was probably the best decision I ever made.”
